TURN BIG PROJECTS INTO BIGGER SAVINGS
Your facility is unique. Your energy savings strategy should be, too. Don’t settle for one-size-fits-all incentives. Work with an energy efficiency expert to identify and implement the opportunities that deliver the greatest savings for your facility.
Duquesne Light’s Custom Incentive Program can cover up to 90% of eligible project costs—including labor and equipment. Our energy experts identify savings opportunities tailored to your facility, then support you from assessment through application and verification. Qualifying projects earn $0.09/kWh saved.
Everything you see here can be part of a custom project. Let’s get started!

EASY STEPS FOR A CUSTOM PROJECT
Step 1: Contact Us Before You Start Your Project
Before any installation begins, fill out the Rebate Application. Once received, our engineers will:
- Review your project design
- Develop a Measurement & Verification (M&V) plan
- Collect any required baseline measurements
Please note: Baseline data must be gathered before project completion.
Already finished your project? Projects completed on or after June 1, 2026, may still qualify if submitted within 180 days. Cascade Energy will make every effort to provide incentives for eligible projects, provided all required documentation supporting reported energy savings is included.
Step 2: Share Your Project Details
To help us evaluate your rebate potential, please provide:
- Information on your existing equipment or systems
- Details about the proposed upgraded equipment
- Equipment quotes or proposals, if available
- Any baseline measurements or supporting documentation that may be required
The more information you provide upfront, the faster we can process your project.
Step 3: Engineering Review
Our engineering team will review your project information and may reach out if additional details are needed.
Once the review is complete, we will:
- Calculate estimated energy savings
- Prepare a Project Design Review
- Submit the review to Duquesne Light Company (DLC) for approval
Step 4: Complete Your Incentive Application
Following review, if your rebate is going to be greater than $5,000, Cascade will guide you through the Customer Incentive Agreement process.
You’ll need to:
- Complete and sign the application
- Submit a completed W-9 form
We’ll be there to help every step of the way.
Step 5: Install Your Project
Once the review process is complete, you can move forward with your installation or finalize a project that is already underway.
Step 6: Submit Your Project Documentation
Documentation is essential to verify your rebate eligibility.
Please provide:
- Invoices
- Receipts
- Equipment specifications
- Any additional project records that demonstrate the actual installation compared to the proposed project
Step 7: Final Inspection and Verification
To verify project completion and energy savings, our engineers will:
- Conduct an on-site inspection
- Collect final project documentation
- Install temporary monitoring equipment (loggers), if needed
This helps ensure your rebate is processed accurately and efficiently.
Step 8: Receive Your Rebate
That’s it! Once all required documentation has been submitted, reviewed, and approved, your rebate will be processed and a rebate check will be mailed directly to your facility.
